A very recent tale of how Katie kept hold of her amazing sense of humour despite her terrible illness. A couple of weeks ago I was washing her hair. Not an easy task as she couldn't move from her chair and found it hard to lean forward. She was sick of the "no water" shampoo caps we were using and wanted her special macadamia nut conditioner to make her hair smell nice. 
I was managing to get her pretty wet but she wasn't complaining.  Then when I was drying her hair with a towel she screamed! "Oh no" I said " Have I hurt your head? Do you have a bad place back here?"  Yes she said, in her special jokey voice, "I have a little brain tumour in there which is causing me a few problems!"
