Celebration of Katie's Life

PLEASE LET ME OR THE FARMER KNOW IF YOU CAN COME SO WE CAN GET AN IDEA OF NUMBERS.

Although Katie was not afraid of dying and took this part of her life in her stride, (as she did with many other things), she did struggle with the "mourning side" of death. She found the "usual way" people grieved distressing and did not like the "order, formality and tradition" of funerals and cremations.

She didn't, therefore want a funeral but did want a gathering of her friends and family.  She said this - "Everyone should come in bright colours and wellies. They can bring their dogs, as long as they get on with Poppy". (Not many dogs will be there then!)

So we will gather around 2ish - at an acceptable distance and outside - at the Farm and at about 3pm we will go up to the woods to talk about Katie and the life she led. Warning - you may have to sing a song or even dance but Katie would expect nothing less of any of you. There will be food and drinks. As I mentioned if you have pictures and or music that reminds you of Katie, please send/let me know.

If you would like to say anything about Katie - that would be lovely too. Please let me know - racheltrudgian@hotmail.com  07866494136

Also, we have limited bedroom space but let me know if you need to stay.  The nice neighbour - Roger has also offered his two lovely Shepherds Huts at a discounted rate so please let me know if you'd like to stay in one of those.  First come first served!

Please don't rely totally on the Satnav to find the farm if you've never been there. It will take you to the wrong farm. See the map for the exact location and look out for a "Wellie on a Stick" at the top of the lane.

If you can't make it or feel you can't come because of the Corona Virus (or you live in New Zealand!) but you would like to have copies of any readings and maybe some pictures please let me know I will be happy to forward them on to you.

If I've forgotten anything please let me know.
